‘Suganty’s journey’: From home to Sugee’s Bakery

By Zaki Salleh

IPOH: A journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step.

This saying perfectly describes the efforts of Suganty Kumar and her husband, Premm Muniandy, who are also the owners of Sugee’s Bakery.

The bakery, located at 45, Persiaran Raja Perempuan Mazwin Selatan, Desa Rishah Indah, offers a variety of cakes and pastries.

Suganty shared that she feels proud seeing her dream of opening a bakery come true.

Reflecting on the journey, Suganty explained that it all started unexpectedly when she left her job at a multinational company after becoming a mother in 2011.

With a deep passion for baking, she began attending various cake and pastry courses to start a small business from home.

“This journey is filled with passion, hard work, and love for the bakery industry, from perfecting recipes to creating a friendly and comfortable space. Every moment has been crafted with great care.

“Our mission is simple: to bring joy to our customers through delicious, freshly baked treats made with the finest ingredients.

“Sugee’s Bakery adheres to the motto ‘Quality is Our Priority’ to ensure customer satisfaction,” she said at the opening ceremony.

The opening ceremony was officiated by Azleena Zainal Abidin, Director of the Perak State Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA).

In her speech, Azleena congratulated the owners and management of Sugee’s Bakery for their success.

“The opening of this bakery marks a significant step in the business world and reflects a strong entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to contributing to the local economy.

“FAMA remains committed to supporting efforts that advance the food and agricultural industry in Malaysia.

“We believe that collaboration among various communities is crucial in creating an inclusive and sustainable business ecosystem,” she said.
