IPOH: After performing the Tarawih (muslim prayers) , are you looking to satisfy your hunger or spend some quality time with family and friends before the new day begins?
Don’t worry, the outdoor Moreh and Sahur Bazaar located near Silveritage, Medan Gopeng here is ready to welcome you.
In fact, this outdoor bazaar is reportedly the largest in Perak.
Open throughout Ramadan from 9 PM to 5 AM, it certainly caters to the needs of many looking for snacks or sahur food in a relaxed atmosphere.
Additionally, it has gained popularity among people of various races and ages, not just limited to Muslim visitors.
If the weather is clear and not rainy, you can enjoy your meal while being accompanied by the stars and the moon.
According to the organizer of the Moreh and Sahur Bazaar, Denley Sondre, there are more than 20 stalls offering various items, including clothing and reflexology services.
He also mentioned that the initiative helps small and medium-sized businesses boost their income.
“About 1,000 chairs are provided in the open area for visitors.
“The response has been very lively since the first day it opened, with visitors from all over flocking to food stalls until 3 AM.
“We are committed to continuing this bazaar with such a concept and with even more vendors next year.
“Our goal is also to help vendors, most of whom are Muslim, generate income for the upcoming Raya celebration,” he said.
Abdul Latif Abdul Hadi, a worker at one of the clothing stalls, mentioned that people had already started shopping for Raya essentials here since March 2.
Siti Nuraeini Khairul Anuar, who came with three friends, said the bazaar has become a popular spot as it is the only one in Ipoh with such a concept.
“We’ve been here several times since the start of Ramadan. The atmosphere here is peaceful and lively, and the Moreh and Sahur concept is unique, unlike anywhere else,” she said.
Another visitor, Suzana Mohd Saaid, who came with her family, mentioned they sometimes stay until after 1 AM.
“We come to find sahur dishes. This open and relaxed concept is perfect for those who enjoy the calm of the night after a busy day,” she said.
