IPOH: Hard Rock Cafe Ipoh, in collaboration with Politeknik Ungku Omar (PUO), launched a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative—a food bank for the homeless.
This meaningful initiative supports the local homeless community by providing food, assistance, and promoting a culture of care and collective responsibility.
Staff from Hard Rock Cafe Ipoh, along with PUO volunteers and other community partners, distributed food to 60 homeless individuals at Medan Selera Dato Sago and Jalan Dato Onn Jaafar.
In addition to providing food, the program also included efforts to clean the streets in the affected areas.
A total of 80 kilograms of trash were collected, focusing on maintaining a clean environment.
Assistant General Manager of Hard Rock Cafe Ipoh, Mohd Najip Abdullah, said the community program was not just about providing food but also offering moral support to those in need.
He said the program involved 40 volunteers, including students, Hard Rock Cafe Ipoh staff, and supporting partners.
“Hard Rock Cafe Ipoh is not just a destination, we are part of this vibrant community, and our mission is to make a meaningful impact.
We share the same spirit with the PUO community, and we hope to continue our social responsibility journey as reflected in our motto, ‘Take Time To Be Kind,” he said.
