Befrienders Ipoh: Mental Health Series Training

Befrienders Ipoh will, once again, be organising training sessions for new hotline volunteers.
As a voluntary hotline, Befrienders Ipoh provides free and confidential emotional support to those in distress or facing suicidal thoughts. This training is crucial in equipping their new volunteers to effectively assist those in need.
In this training, volunteers will learn about:
- Essentials of Befriending
- Suicide Awareness
- Self-awareness
- Personality Profiling
- Emotional Literacy
- Active Listening
- Mental Health Literacy
Befrienders are looking for individuals who:
- are open-minded and embrace inclusivity
- can dedicate 3 hours per week as volunteers
- are committed to continually improving their befriending skills, as well as the overall development of the befriending programme
- have a strong desire to give back and make a positive impact
This training will be broken down to 3 sessions to be held on April 26, April 30 and May 3.
