By Zaki Salleh

IPOH: During the festive season, many residents of Ipoh city are expected to return to their hometowns or take extended holidays.

Leaving a home unattended for a long period can sometimes raise concerns about potential unwanted incidents.

To address this, the Ipoh District Police Headquarters (IPD Ipoh) has launched the “Safe Home” campaign to ensure the safety of all residents in Ipoh.

The “Safe Home” campaign aims to provide support and protection for homes left vacant during the festive season.

IPD Ipoh will assist by conducting safety checks around residential areas so that the residents can enjoy the festivities more peacefully.

“We understand that during the festive season, travel activity often increases as many of us return to our hometowns to celebrate Aidilfitri with our beloved families.

“Therefore, it is crucial to ensure that our homes are safe and secure,” said a statement from IPD Ipoh.

Additionally, the public is reminded to always take precautionary steps, such as securely locking doors and windows.

They are also encouraged to contact the police if they notice any suspicious activities.
