IPOH: More charity work to help the underprivileged.
With Aidilfitri approaching, the Aman Wardah community organization has reached out to underprivileged families to provide donations.
The Infaq Kasih Aman Wardah program has supported 75 asnaf families residing in the Hulu Kinta area.
Aman Wardah Chairperson, Azana Rita Abdul Aziz, said the asnaf families were selected based on the organization’s monitoring.
The families consist of 25 each from the Hulu Kinta State Legislative Assembly (DUN), Manjoi DUN, and the remaining from surrounding areas.
“We contributed food boxes containing essential kitchen items such as rice, cooking oil, sugar, soy sauce, sauces, tea, coffee, chicken, and eggs, among others.
“We also provided food items for Aidilfitri preparations like nasi impit, peanut sauce, cordial, raya biscuits, and cash,” she said.
This is an annual activity of the community organization, which serves as a platform to connect with and assist underprivileged families.
The donation handover program involved 20 members of Aman Wardah.
According to Azana Rita, the organization extends its highest appreciation to the donors and Aman Wardah members who helped manage all the needs.
