IPOH: Who wouldn’t be excited to receive new clothes for Raya?
This was the feeling of 150 residents from the Tebing Tinggi State Legislative Assembly and Ipoh Timor Parliamentary constituency when they received RM150 vouchers each.
The vouchers were for them to purchase items in preparation for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
The recipients, including children and senior citizens, were all smiles as they went shopping at the AEON Station 18 shopping mall here.
Accompanying them were Tebing Tinggi State Assemblyman, Dr Abdul Aziz Bari, and Ipoh Timor Member of Parliament, Howard Lee.
According to Howard, the initiative introduced by Menteri Besar Perak, Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad, aims to ease the financial burden on the families of the recipients.
At the same time, it adds to the festive joy as the Aidilfitri celebrations approach.
