IPOH: The pile of trash dumped on the road near Pekan Chemor Market, despite the availability of large trash bins for public use, continues to be a problem.
One complainant shared that the situation has worsened this year, especially just before the recent Aidilfitri celebrations.
“Every year I dispose of my trash here when the festive season approaches, but what shocked me this year was the sight of trash being thrown carelessly without any civic-mindedness.
“Imagine how others, particularly the elderly, are supposed to dispose of their trash when the road area is filled with garbage.
“I don’t understand why the large trash bins provided are not being used properly. There seems to be a lack of awareness from certain individuals who dump their trash carelessly without considering cleanliness issues,” he said.
