IPOH: Ipoh City Council (MBI) Zone 1 Hulu Kinta Councillor, Datuk Mazlan Abdul Rahman, visited the bridge connecting to Sekolah Kebangsaan Polis Hutan, which has been reported to have soil erosion problems beneath it.
The recent visit also revealed that the erosion beneath the bridge is becoming larger and more dangerous.
“For the public’s information, the Tambun Parliamentary Office has already requested the Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU) to expedite the allocation for the repair of the bridge.
“A follow-up visit with engineers from the Public Works Department (JKR), the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (JPS), and MBI will be conducted to determine whether the bridge is still safe to use or not,” he said.
He hopes that urgent action will be taken to resolve the soil erosion issue under the bridge as quickly as possible.
