UrbanKiz blends rhythm, connection, and flow—and it’s making its debut in Ipoh on April 26, 2025.
If you’ve been itching to try something new ~ something that’s smooth, expressive, and full of rhythm; this is your sign. For the first time ever, Ipoh will host an UrbanKiz dance workshop led by Praveen, a seasoned instructor who’s travelled the globe teaching this stylish partner dance from Malaysia to Morocco.
UrbanKiz, short for Urban Kizomba, is rooted in the traditional Angolan dance Kizomba, but has since evolved with hints of hip-hop, contemporary, and street dance. The result? A grounded, almost meditative connection between partners, and music that’s impossible to ignore.
Organised in collaboration with Reviva Fitness Ipoh, this workshop is ideal for absolute beginners, couples, and solo dancers who simply want to experience something different. You’ll learn the basics—like how to lead, follow, and feel the music, all in a relaxed, welcoming environment. No pressure, no judgment, just movement.
Whether you’ve danced before or this is your very first step, UrbanKiz offers something a little different for Ipoh’s social and creative scene. It’s part of a growing global dance movement, and now, locals can dip their toes (and hips) into it too.
Spots are limited—sign up early and come see what the UrbanKiz vibe is all about
