IPOH: A RM1.92 million hydrotherapy pool has become the latest facility acquired by the Perak State Sports Council (MSN Perak) to boost the development of sports in the state.
This makes MSN Perak the first State Sports Council in the country to own such a facility.
The facility is a strategic investment aimed at strengthening the scientific and clinical recovery and rehabilitation system for athletes.
The hydrotherapy pool, which functions as a recovery site for injuries, plays a crucial role in supporting the comprehensive rehabilitation process for athletes.
It also helps enhance the physical and mental strength of Perak athletes in preparation for major national and international tournaments.
Earlier, the official launch of the pool was officiated by the Menteri Besar Perak, Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad, at the Seladang Sports Hub, MSN Perak.
In his speech, Saarani emphasized that every facility developed is a long-term investment towards success.
However, facilities alone do not guarantee victory.
“What’s more important is how they are optimally utilized through structured training plans, continuous monitoring, and strong synergy among all involved parties.
“State sports associations are also encouraged to collaborate with higher education institutions and sports medicine experts to carry out research and innovation related to athlete performance and injury recovery,” he said.
