TELUK INTAN: A total of RM30,000 has been allocated for Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) St Anthony Teluk Intan to improve the school’s infrastructure.
The contribution was made through allocations from Teluk Intan Member of Parliament, Nga Kor Ming, and Pasir Bedamar State Assemblyman, Woo Kah Leong.
Woo Kah Leong, who is also the Perak State Executive Councillor for Domestic Trade, Consumer Affairs and Chinese Villages, said the initiative is part of the Teluk Intan Parliament School Tour Program.
He stated that the contribution is not only meant to upgrade school facilities but also to ensure that all students can learn in a comfortable, safe, and conducive environment.
“We believe that education is the most important key to building the nation’s future.
“That is why we provide annual funding for schools in Teluk Intan, so students can receive quality education and have brighter future opportunities,” he said in a statement.
He added that through on-site visits, they are able to observe school conditions and listen to feedback and needs from teachers, students, and parents.
