IPOH: As the saying goes, when one leaves, another takes their place.
This holds true in police leadership as well, where responsibilities left behind are taken up by new appointees.
Two senior Perak police officers have been appointed as District Police Chiefs for the Tapah District Police Headquarters (IPD) and Sungai Siput IPD.
DSP Charan a/l Ai Wan has been promoted to Superintendent and takes on the role of Sungai Siput District Police Chief.
Charan was previously the acting District Police Chief of Baling, Kedah.
Also promoted to Superintendent is DSP Johari Yahya, who will now serve as the new District Police Chief of Tapah.
The promotion ceremony was officiated by the Perak Police Chief, Dato’ Noor Hisam Nordin.
In his speech, Noor Hisam congratulated both the Sungai Siput and Tapah District Police Chiefs on their promotions.
He expressed hope that both officers will carry out their duties with excellence.
