IPOH – On Saturday, April 12, SMK Convent held Larian Convent 2025, an event joined by current students and student alumni.
Did you enjoy school events back when you were a student? For many of us, weekend school activities, especially things like running events, weren’t exactly our favorite.
Somehow, after leaving school and entering the working world, we would definitely look back at those moments when we were stress free and were enjoying every moment in school.
The same goes for alumni of SMK Convent who joined Larian Convent 2025, mostly to relieve stress and relive the good old school days
During the event, one of the student alumni was interviewed and shared her thoughts on why she decided to join the run.
Her response was relatable to many.
“I miss going to school events.
“As an adult, working life is so draining, and sometimes I look back at the times when I was in high school.
Just to relive the school moments I miss,” she said.
While students may see school events as tiring and unnecessary, for others, it serves as a form of emotional healing.

Schools may consider organizing more events that involve alumni and the public. They can have a deeper impact than we realize to others out there.
Kudos to SMK Convent for organizing Larian Convent 2025!
