In the ongoing Covid-19 crisis, Mimbar Nusantara Holdings Sdn Bhd gave a helping hand to families facing food shortage.
The company’s managing director, Nazrin Cheong Abdullah said movement restrictions had impacted economy in the rural areas.
“We’ve identified 60 families living in Chemor, Kanthan, Kampung Baru Kuala Kuang and a few nearby areas,” he said on Friday, March 27. “They’re either self-employed or have lost their fixed income due to the situation.”
Daily necessities such as rice, flour and cooking oil among others were donated. Food items were also given to police officers.
“Lunch boxes were prepared and sent to police stations in Chemor, Tanah Hitam, Kanthan Baru and Kuala Kuang,” Nazrin added. “This is a form of appreciation to the frontliners who worked tirelessly during this troubled time.”
