Malaysia’s home-grown halal restaurant, The Chicken Rice Shop (TCRS) provided meals to frontliners while contributing to marginalised society amidst Covid-19 battle.
“Our frontliners are fighting hard for us, and we can only imagine the limited time that they have just to step out to have a small meal. To ensure that they at least have a good meal for strength and energy, TCRS is adamant to look after their well-being as many are lacking food and we are taking this opportunity by providing them with meals,” said June Song, Head of Marketing of TCRS Restaurants Sdn Bhd.
TCRS donated food to various hospitals including Hospital Ipoh, Hospital Seberang Jaya, Penang; Hospital Tuanku Jaafar, Seremban; Hospital Sungai Petani, Kedah; Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab II, Kelantan; Hospital Segamat, Johor; Hospital Miri, Sarawak; Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan, Pahang; Hospital University Kebangsaan Malaysia, Klinik Kesihatan Rantau Panjang, Klang; and Hospital Klang.
In the light of the many non-profit organisations struggling with food stock, TCRS also provided food to ElShaddai Centre Berhad, Klang – an organisation that supports the displaced and marginalised community.
