Great news for film-loving Ipohites out there! Cinemas are re-allowed to operate beginning July 1 onwards!
Operations are also allowed for theatrical and live performances.
According to the Minister of Defence, Dato’ Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, only a maximum of 250 individuals are allowed at a time for the activities mentioned above.
“Standard operating procedures (SOPs) imposed by the government, especially social (physical) distancing, must be followed at all times,” he said today on June 22 in a daily media session for the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO).
“If a hall could fit less than 250 individuals, event organisers must agree to a lesser amount,” Ismail Sabri added.
He also announced that swimming pools and water-related activities at rivers, seas and lakes are also re-allowed on the same date, but with adherence to SOPs.
“However, water theme parks are yet to receive the green light to operate,” Ismail Sabri mentioned.
Also allowed are meetings, conferences, seminars and training courses with less than 250 participations.
