In conjunction with the reopening of the Hop-On Hop-Off (HoHo) bus service, tourists will be able to enjoy promotional prices starting August 1.
According to the State Executive Councillor for Housing, Local Government and Tourism, Dato’ Nolee Ashilin Mohamed Radzi, the promotional price is to attract more outbound tourists, besides breaking the public’s six-month-long wait due to the Movement Control Order (MCO).
“We’ve made sure standard operating procedures (SOPs) set by the Ministry of Health (MOH) and National Security Council are followed in the process of reopening the service,” she told reporters today on July 23. “This is also to guarantee tourists’ safety while using the HoHo bus service.
“The service has three open-air buses and they’re divided into two circuit lines, which are in-circuit and out-circuit,” Nolee Ashilin added. “Operation hours every weekend on Saturdays and Sundays are from 8.30am to 9.30pm.
“In-circuit involves 12 stops with the newest stop at Gunung Lang,” she mentioned. “For out-circuit, it involves nine existing main stops.”
Also present was the city secretary of Perlis, Azman Mohd Yusof, who came to Ipoh to see and experience the HoHo bus service, which will possibly be made one of the tourism products of Perlis.
Promotional prices of the HoHo bus passes are only offered at adult rates. MyKad holders are charged RM12 for adults (normal price RM20) and RM10 (children, senior citizens or the disabled), while non-MyKad holders and international tourists are charged RM20 for adults (normal price RM35), children, senior citizens and the disabled.
For the two-day HoHo bus pass to be used for out-circuit, MyKad holders are charged RM20 for adults (normal price RM35) and RM20 (children, senior citizens or the disabled), while non-MyKad holders are charged RM60 (normal price RM70) and RM35 (children, senior citizens or the disabled).
