Aimed to support SME digitalisation for state economic recovery, a series of e-digital entrepreneur courses was kicked off today at the Innovation & Multimedia Hub at Mydin Mall Meru Raya.
“This is a part of the Youth, Sports, Communications and Multimedia Roadshow to create digital entrepreneurs. Similar courses will be run in 12 districts in Perak. We hope to aid entrepreneurs to boost their business in all aspects especially promotion and management,” explained Khairul Shahril Mohamed, Executive Councillor for Youth, Sports, Communications and Multimedia as the guest of honour.
It is an initiative of the Office of Executive Councillor for Youth, Sports, Communications and Multimedia in collaboration with Digital Perak Corporation Holdings and teaching support from Shopee University and Axiata Digital Ecode Sdn Bhd (Boost).
In Ipoh, the free-of-charge, all-day training sessions are held from October 5 to 7 with a limit of 20 registered participants per class in strict adherence to the health and safety standard operating procedures (SOPs). It is held at Innovation & Multimedia Hub of Digital Perak which houses a ICT lab, green screen studio, activity space (makerspace) and co-working space among others.
Workshop modules encompasse introduction to website marketing, digital technology, cashless payment and online marketing.
Besides arming the participants with knowledge, certificates of attendance are awarded towards the end of each class.
Present at the launch were Meor Rezal Fitri, CEO of Digital Perak Corporation Holdings and Mohd Faris Kamarudin, Manager of Boost Perak Region.
“This collaboration is aimed to create a community of local entrepreneurs who are well-informed of digital business thus able to spice up the state digital economy,” added Meor.
