News from Tenby Schools Ipoh
Ashley Wong Lei Peng of Tenby International School’s 6th Form, who completed her A Levels earlier this year, was recently named among Cambridge International Examinations’ (CIE) “Top In the World” achiever for Thinking Skills at A2 Level. Ashley scored three A* (Thinking Skills, History and Biology) and two As (Maths and Psychology) in the CIE A2 examination.
Noted for her prowess in drama, music and debate, Ashley had been home-schooled from primary school. She won the SiWu scholarship for 6th Form entry in 2013 and has since soared to greater heights. Ashley has now applied to study History/Creative Writing at universities such as Cambridge and Durham in the United Kingdom, to name a few.
JSKL U-15 Soccer Championship 2014/2015
In the sports arena, Tenby Schools Ipoh’s U-15 Boys Football Team took part in the U-15 Soccer Championship 2014/2015 organised by the Japanese School of Kuala Lumpur (JSKL). This year the boys made the school proud by emerging 2nd place overall in this competition. The team was accompanied by Mr Des Wilson the U15 Football Coach and Mr Darren Nicoll, the U18 Football Coach.
