The state government received 3,000 bottles of hand sanitisers courtesy of Proven Optimisation Innovative Solutions Sdn Bhd (POIS), with collaboration from the Malaysian Red Crescent Society.
According to State Executive Councillor for Housing, Local Government and Tourism, Dato’ Nolee Ashilin Mohamed Radzi, the contribution will be distributed to tourism operators, local government units and NGOs.
“Out of the 3,000 bottles, 1,000 will be allocated to the aforementioned agencies in the hopes of preventing the spread of COVID-19,” she told reporters after the handover ceremony of hand sanitisers by the managing director of POIS, Eidia Erriany Abdul Rahim.
Also present was the chief executive officer of Tourism Perak, Nurmalis Musa.
“Given the worrying state of COVID-19 which inevitably brought a huge impact towards small and medium enterprises, we really appreciate POIS for the contribution.
“Hopefully, there’ll be more parties that support the Malaysian government’s efforts in breaking the infection chain of COVID-19,” Nolee Ashilin expressed.
Five other NGOs that received the contribution were Pertubuhan Rakan Komuniti Pendidikan Perak, Rumah Teduhan Kelana (Kelana Shelter), Pertubuhan Wanita Prihatin Perak (PWPP), Pertubuhan Rumah Ngaji (Quranic Houses Association) and Persatuan Rakan Prihatin Kinta Perak.
