Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, Senior Minister (Security Cluster) via live media conference today (February 9) announced that dine-ins at restaurants are allowed effective February 10, limited to only 2 per table with a physical distancing of 1 metre between tables.
Restaurant owners are required to station at least one employee at their premises with dine-ins to control in-and-out flow of customers.
The SOPS include recording the attendance of diners and staff, physical distancing of 1 metre in the premises, as well as limiting the number of diners present in the restaurant at a time.
Previously, restaurants are only permitted to operate via takeaway till 10pm.
