30 remaining units of main cash prizes from the Ipoh City Council (MBI)’s second 2021 Assessment Tax Lucky Draw session were distributed today (April 7).
The session was also live-streamed via MBI’s official Facebook page. Present were the Mayor of Ipoh, Dato’ Rumaizi Baharin, City Secretary Zuraina Kamarul Ariff and City Councillors Dato’ Mazlan Abdul Rahman, Abu Bakar Hussian and Mahader Ahmad Mohammad Ayob.
In his speech, Rumaizi said that the second session was specially to determine lucky owners of the main prizes.
“The lucky winners this round are extremely lucky and are considered MBI’s ‘good pay masters’ for making timely annual assessment tax payments.
“These prizes are a form of appreciation from the council to taxpayers who duly performed their responsibilities towards the city,” he stated.
Dahlia Ramli, 35, who has worked as an administrative assistant for more than 10 years in MBI, reaped the grand prize of RM20,000.
“I didn’t expect myself to be so luckily chosen as the grand prize winner. With such an unanticipated gain of wealth, I shall divide the amount to my parents and utilise part of it to prepare for the upcoming Hari Raya celebration.
“I thank MBI for their generosity. Hopefully, the council continues to prosper,” she expressed.
Respectively, the second and third prizes worth RM10,000 and RM5,000 were reaped by Rafidah Lot (with Mohd Radzuan Musa) and Muhamad Hussin Md Dom.
Ag Mohd Fadzil Ag Ismail and Yong Ngah @ Yong Mooi obtained the fourth and fifth prizes, both worth RM3,000.
