The Ipoh City Council (MBI) is committed to ensure that the welfare of the people who are affected by the enforcement of the Movement Control Order (MCO) 3.0 is taken care of.
Following that, a total of 200 bags of food were contributed to the residents of Kampung Dato’ Ahmad Said Tambahan 2, Kampung Jelapang Baru and Kampung Sungai Tapah via a collaborative effort between the MBI through the MBI Prihatin Programme and Jelapang Econsave Supermarket.
The Mayor of Ipoh, Dato’ Rumaizi Baharin @ Md Daud presented the donation to the Kinta Chief Assistant District Officer (Development), Mohd Noor Azam Ismail at the MCO Operations Room today (June 9) before distributing them to the residents.
He hopes that the food contribution would alleviate the burden of the residents.
The MCO in the three locations effective from June 6 till June 19 is to facilitate the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) in conducting early detection of COVID-19 cases as well as to limit the movement of residents.
