The third phase of the Malaysian Family aid, Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat (BPR), will be credited into recipients’ accounts starting this Tuesday (September 28). This will include those who have appealed for the BPR.
The payment will be transferred directly into recipients’ accounts in stages and the process is expected to be completed the following Thursday.
Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that the aid, with an allocation of RM2.82 billion, will benefit 3.6 million existing recipients under the household category and applicants whose appeals have been approved.
He said each recipient will receive up to RM1,400 while those who appealed for BPR will receive up to RM2,300.
“This includes additional BPR payments under the Pemerkasa+ programme which are worth up to RM500 for each recipient.
“The amount received is based on the recipients’ respective eligibility in terms of marital status, total household income and number of children,” he said in a statement.
Ismail Sabri said the third phase payment is the full disbursement of the remainder that should be received by the recipients and those who have appealed for BPR, to ease their burden.
Further details on the payment of BPR Phase 3 will be detailed by the Ministry of Finance.
Recipients can refer to the frequently asked questions (FAQ) on the BPR official website https://bpr.hasil.gov.my for more information.
