With a concept of “a taste of muhibbah (goodwill)”, the Ramadan buffet prepared by Chef Mohd Aminuddin Abdul Rahman of MU Hotel provides the opportunity for all ethnicities to experience the joy of breaking fast together.
One of the highlights is the aromatic and tender kambing golek (roasted lamb) marinated with his own recipe.
“I use seven types of English herbs to marinate the meat for two days before roasting.
“A second marination of different ingredients is brushed onto the meat when it is roasting. This is to boost its aroma and make it more appetising.
“The meat was imported 10 days before Ramadan from Australia. Its texture is very tender and without the gamey smell,” said the chef with over 16 years of culinary experience.
Besides kambing golek, the latest signature item is sup tulang kambing which is more delicious when enjoyed with bubur lambuk. Don’t miss the crispy fritters with sauce!
A total of 11 live cooking stations and 60 buffet items are served such as kari daging kentang, udang masak lemak nenas, ayam masak kalio, talapia masak kengsom Thai, kupang masak lemak cili padi, udang sambal cili kering and lala masak singgang.
The buffet begins from April 7 till 30, only on four days a week (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday) The number of diners are limited to 80 to 90 people at a time. It operates from 6.30 pm till 11.00 pm.
