MBI and Theta Edge Berhad Continue to Aid the B40 Group

A total of 50 children of the Ipoh City Council (MBI) staff members from the B40 category had the delight of choosing raya garments and receiving duit raya following a collaboration between the council and Theta Edge Berhad (TEB) to aid the low-income group in preparing for the festive season.

Mayor, Dato’ Rumaizi Baharin @ Md Daud said, “Through this programme, TEB has contributed RM10,000 worth of raya clothes together with songkok or tudung worth RM150, besides presenting duit raya of RM50 to every recipient.

“The Ramadan Cheers programme is organised by TEB in collaboration with MBI and other local authorities (PBT) such as the Subang Jaya City Council and Petaling Jaya City Council throughout the month of Ramadan.

“I hope this cooperation will be continued in the future to help the underprivileged,” he said during the media conference in conjunction with the programme at Mydin Hypermarket, Meru yesterday.

Meanwhile, Group CEO of Theta Edge Berhad, Nuraslina Zainal Abidin said the company also provided laptops for excellent students from the B40 families via the group’s corporate social responsibility (#thetaCares).

“A total of 1,100 desktops are also allocated for the use of community centres in 11 states. The installation works have begun since February and will be distributed fully by the end of this year.

“Besides that, we will also start another branch of #thetaCares, Digital Masjid, which focuses on religious institutions and mosques in several states by contributing 440 desktops and providing financial management applications, dashboards as well as cloud storage. 

“The implementation of this programme will create a more efficient management of the institutions,” Nuraslina said, representing Theta Edge Berhad which is a subsidiary of Lembaga Tabung Haji.
