I was admitted to Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun, Ipoh on Wednesday, February 24. The following day, I underwent an operation for a urinary-tract condition. It was performed by Dato’ Dr Rohan Malek, a consultant surgeon from Selayang Hospital Kuala Lumpur and his team. The operation was arranged by Dr Basir from Ipoh.
Before Dr Rohan returned to Selayang Hospital the next day, he made the effort to check on my condition with a group of doctors from the Ipoh hospital.
The standard of the medical facilities in government hospitals has improved. However, the number of patients are increasing tremendously, leading to overcrowding. Hence, I hope the authorities would build a new hospital here.
Besides thanking my faithful wife who has been taking care of me throughout the ordeal, I must congratulate HRPB for having such trained and dedicated staff. Thank you for saving my life for the second time (I was treated for cancer here five years ago). With this recovery, I am looking forward to celebrating my 48th wedding anniversary.
