Distribution of Free Rubbish Bins by MBI
Recently, a total of 3,416 rubbish bins of 120-litre in size were distributed for free at four areas under the Ipoh City Council (MBI) by council members together with the Residents Relations Committee (JPP).
The distribution was part of a programme which promotes the habit of using rubbish bins among Ipohites.
The highest number of bins were distributed at Taman Klebang Restu (Zone 5) by Councillor Dato’ Azizul Kama Abd Aziz to 1,245 houses.
A total of 1,133 homes at the area of Taman Perpaduan (Zone 2) received the bins from Councillor Puteri Holijah Muhammad Rali.
Council Member for Zone 21, Haji Abu Bakar Haji Husin distributed bins to 399 homes at Kampung Rapat Jaya Tambahan and Desa Rapat Jaya.
Meanwhile, 264 bins were distributed by Councillor Mohammad Sharif (Zone 3) at RPT Batu 10 Chemor.
With assistance from the JPP, the council’s Head of WHIP, Datuk Mazlan Abd Rahman (Zone 1) distributed 375 bins at Taman Jaya Delima, Taman Intan Jaya and Taman Tanjung Rambutan.
Pamphlets were also distributed to all recipients in a continuous effort by the MBI to increase public awareness on the proper method of disposing rubbish.
