Equipment Storage at Camp Syed Putra Destroyed by Fire

An equipment storage store at Camp Syed Putra, Jalan Tambun here was destroyed in a fire at around 5pm yesterday.
A spokesperson from the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Perak said that they received a call regarding the incident at 5.21pm.
“Members from the Ipoh Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) with the help of the Tambun BBP went to the scene of the incident.
“The fire involved a 20×20 feet class B equipment storage store inside the camp that was burned by 90 percent,” he said in a statement on Saturday.
He also said that the fire brigade then extinguished the fire using a stream of 100 feet, a jet and a stream of hose reel.
In addition, the cause of the fire is still under investigation and there are no casualties.
The operation led by Senior Fire Officer R Mathavan ended at 6.16 pm.
