There has not yet been any official confirmation regarding the formation of the federal government in the three days since the general election ended.
However, all citizens are asked to remain calm and wait for further developments.
When met by reporters, the Chairman of Pakatan Harapan, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said that there has been no decision regarding the formation of the government.
The Tambun Member of Parliament explained that the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah had given views and recommendations on the matter.
“There needs to be an agreement on the cooperation of all parties so that the government is strong and can focus on looking after the interests of the people and restoring the economy.
“The government that will be established later, God willing, should represent all parties, all races and all regions. Inclusive in the true sense of the word.
“So after honouring and accepting the spirit of the unity government, let’s give a little time for us and of course for His Majesty to give consideration and wisdom to establish the government,” he said.
The Yang di-Pertuan Agong had previously received Perikatan Nasional chairman Muhyiddin Yassin and Pakatan Harapan leader Anwar Ibrahim at Istana Negara at 4.30pm
Muhyiddin left without meeting the media gathered at the entrance of the Istana Negara.
National politics saw a stalemate after no party or coalition was able to obtain a simple majority in the GE15 last Saturday.
