Kaki Komik Fest 2022 held at Aeon Mall Kinta City
Kaki Komik Fest 2022 was held at Aeon Mall Kinta City last weekend. The mall is fast becoming the go to destination for Perak hobbyists and cosplayers with their frequent weekend ACG (Anime Comics Games) events since the start of October earlier this year.
Kaki Komik Fest 2022 was arguably the biggest one yet in terms of the vendors involved. Organised by Sako Plus, Pekan Mainan Ipoh and Shichibukai Perak Cosplay, this event featured award winning artist Azmi Hussin on the first day and the launch of a new comic, Boy PJ, on the second day. This was an especially interactive fest with a doodle contest for adults on the first day and a colouring contest for children on the following day.
Cosplayers walked the lanes of the mall, even on the first day, despite the Cosplay Runway being a day two event. Families enjoyed their time together with some daughters dressed as Anya from Spy X Family or even Genshin Impact characters. The cosplayers were universally more than happy to take selfies with anyone who would politely ask for it. The costumes were intricate even on the first day, with coloured contact lenses, fake tails and props being the norm. One cosplayer even had full facepaint.
The vendors selling props and collectibles were quite plentiful this time as well. With some great deals available if you know the market price.
