Polaris Christmas Market

Ferment Boulangerie is a charming one-year-old artisan bakery in Canning Garden that specialises in classic French and Italian pastries such as sourdough and focaccia. There is a variety of delicious tartines and many other freshly baked goods and sweet pastries. Also available is a range of flavoured butters and ‘kombucha,’ which is fermented, lightly effervescent, sweetened black tea drink commonly consumed for its purported health benefits.

After receiving much support from the Ipoh community for the past year, Ferment Boulangerie decided this is their chance to give back and host a Christmas Market for 3 days starting tomorrow (16th – 18th December 2022) one that assures the public a fun-filled weekend for the whole family.

“We aspire to be a space + platform that gathers local businesses/individuals, and with this Christmas Market being the first step towards a long-term vision. After the pandemic fatigue, we would love to shine light & restore the festivity of Christmas to the community of Ipoh” affirms Angela Phang, partner at Ferment Boulangerie

“Come with an empty stomach, there will be some seating provided for those who would like to relax at our outdoor area or just browse and takeaway is available too!”

This is Christmas shopping at its best, each stall will have many items that could be the perfect Christmas gift for your loved ones.

There will be stalls selling all sorts of food, beverages and even gelato and daifuku. There are also many workshops to take advantage of such as flower arrangement, DIY mini-Christmas tree, DIY bath balls, calligraphy and many more. Please see the schedule and make reservations in advance for the workshops.

In addition to all the merriment for the duration of the 3 days, performances by the Kinta Valley Wind Orchestra and local talents by SKY LC Studio Live Band will surely put you in the Christmas spirit!
