By Rosli Mansor

Three locations of tourism products in Kuala Kangsar have installed tourist information display boards, namely the McDonnell Douglas A-4PTM Skyhawk Jet, the APC Condor & Daimler Ferret Armored Vehicles and the Keris Monument.

The chairman of the Kuala Kangsar Municipal Council (MPKK), Zulqarnain Mohamad said the initiative to install the information boards was aimed at making it easier for tourists or visitors to get authentic information.

“MPKK will ensure that efforts to preserve and conserve the historical heritage of this royal city are carried out continuously, especially with regard to artefacts and monuments, including historic buildings found in Kuala Kangsar.

“Kuala Kangsar is rich in landmark heritage monuments, historical architecture, traditional customs, trade, biodiversity and diversity.

“Just like the Laman Pahlawan located on Jalan Bukit Kerajaan Bukit Chandan has its own historical value, we will place a dagger monument and an armoured car including a fighter plane at Dataran Putra,” he said after officiating the placing of a historic notice board at the History Museum together with the Chairman of the Malayan Historical Group Association (MHG) Saharom Ahmad and Perak Heritage Association President Nor Hisham Zulkiflee recently.
