A man managed to save himself after the Peugeot car he was driving was destroyed by fire in Jalan Kuala Pari, today.
According to a spokesman for the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Perak, the vehicle was destroyed by fire by as much as 90 percent in the middle of the road.
“Firefighters received an emergency call regarding the incident at 9.52am, then members from Pasir Puteh Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) rushed to the location.
“The arrival of the machinery and members at the location found that 90 percent of the car was destroyed by fire,” he said in a statement on Friday.
He also said that the fire brigade was then instructed by the operations commander to put out the fire using two streams of hose reel.
The operation led by Senior Fire Officer II Shahrizala Abu Hanafiah ended at 10.38am.
