TBKLN receives over RM50 million in donations for Turkey earthquake

KUALA LUMPUR: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Disaster Fund (TBKLN), received donations amounting to more than RM50 million for the Southern Turkey earthquake incident.
Foreign Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir said that on behalf of the ministry, he received the donations.
“On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the TBKLN, I have received donations amounting to more than RM50 million from corporate and private companies.
“I wish to express my deepest appreciation to the people of Malaysia and the donors who are very compassionate and generous,” he said through a statement on Facebook today.

The ceremony was witnessed by Prime Minister, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim. Also present were Deputy Prime Minister, Dato’ Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah Affairs, Sarawak and Special Duties), Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali.
