IPOH: Perak’s Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) carried out inspections on 104 barber shops in conjunction with Ops Dandan which started on February 13.
The monitoring is carried out to ensure that the price of the service offered is reasonable and not excessive in addition to the cleanliness and quality of the service provided.
A spokesman for the Perak KPDN said that during the operation that started on February 13, there were two premises subject to compound action for failing to display the price tag of the service charge provided.
“In conjunction with this school holiday, many parents take the opportunity to prepare for the start of school in March.
“Perak’s KPDN has taken the initiative to inspect all barbershops operating in the state of Perak to comply with the rules and laws that have been set,” he told reporters.
He added that the public is encouraged to contact the Perak KPDN if they have any complaints or questions about barbershops operating in the state.
Other barber shop traders are also advised to always continue to comply with the laws enforced by the KPDN.
