KUALA KANGSAR: A trailer carrying a load of iron was destroyed in a fire incident at Kilometer 262 of the North-South Highway (PLUS), heading north here last night.
Perak Fire and Rescue Department Operations Commander Syed Hazrul Hizam Syed Abd Aziz said he received a call about the incident at 10.35 pm.
He said members of the Kuala Kangsar Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) assisted by the Meru Raya BBP and the Pekan Baru Volunteer Fire Brigade rushed to the location.
“The fire involved a trailer that was destroyed by fire 65 per cent in the head.
“However, the incident did not involve injuries or loss of life,” he said on Monday.
He said the fire brigade worked to extinguish the fire using a 100-foot hose stream and a hose reel until the fire was completely extinguished.
The operation ended completely at 12.35 midnight.
