PUTRAJAYA- The Ministry of Education (KPM) announced a special additional school holiday on April 19 (Wednesday) in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration next week.
The Minister of Education, Fadhlina Sidek, said the holiday was intended to give students and teachers space to prepare for states in groups A and B.
“KPM announced that April 19 will be declared a special holiday for all KPM employees. So, on April 19 there will be no school session,” she said.
Previously, it was reported that the Malaysian National Teachers Service Union (NUTP) requested the Ministry of Education and Culture to grant special leave to teachers on April 19, ahead of this year’s Aidilfitri celebration.
