IPOH – A total of 10 teams will compete in the 2023 Nurse Netball Championship which will take place at the State Education Department’s Sports Unit Field, Pasir Puteh Street here this Saturday.
This event will be held in conjunction with the celebration of World Nurses Day.
The tournament is organized by MK Ambulance Services.
According to the organizer, Mazhar Khadir, the tournament also aims to strengthen the relationship between health workers, especially nurses.
As the Director of My Health Care Service Sdn. Bhd., he said that the event is also to create a healthy environment and sports practice.
“So far 10 teams from several hospitals in Perak including KPJ Manjung and Pantai Hospital Manjung have confirmed their participation.
“The event starts at 8 am and the tournament lasts until 5 pm,” he said.
A cash prize of RM300 as well as a round trophy and hamper awaits the winner.
The runner-up and third place will each receive RM200 and RM100 and a hamper.
According to Mazhar, the tournament can also unearth new talents in the sport of netball to be featured in the next tournament or competition.
