BAGAN SERAI: Two people were injured after the van they were riding in crashed into a Proton Wira type vehicle in a road accident at Jalan Masjid Tinggi, Jalan Serai Delima today.
Assistant Director of the Fire and Rescue Operations Division of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Perak, Mohamadul Ehsan Mohd Zain, said that the Bagan Serai Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) received a call informing about the incident at 2.35pm before a team was rushed to the location.
“A road accident involving a Proton Wira car was hit from behind by a van causing the two victims from the van to be injured while the other victim in the Proton Wira was safe. All the victims were not trapped.
According to him, team members acted to provide initial treatment to the victim and then took the victims to Parit Buntar Hospital for further action.
He said the case was handled by Operation Commander Fauziah Baharudin and the entire operation ended at 3.06pm.
