IPOH: Ipoh District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Yahaya Hassan held a meeting with the chairman and representatives of Hindu Temples in Buntong and Gunung Cheroh areas at the Main Meeting Room of Ipoh District Police Headquarters (IPD) Ipoh yesterday.
In the meeting, a dialogue session was also held to discuss any arising issues.
The Ipoh District Police Chief gave a briefing regarding the notification procedure for gatherings or processions involving places of worship and religious ceremonies.
The Police, especially the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) in the Ipoh District, sincerely hope that all religious programme organisers can work together to ensure the safety of all believers and road users.
Also present were Ipoh District Deputy Police Chief (Operations) and Acting Ipoh District Police Chief (Administration), Superintendent Lee Swee Sake; Buntong State Legislative Assembly Member, M Thulsi Thivani; the representative of the Ipoh Barat Parliament, Jeremy Chuah; Perak State Malaysian Hindu Sanggam Chairman, Santhiran Ponnusamy; Ipoh IPD Division Chiefs, Police Chiefs of the involved Stations as well as the Chairman and representatives of Buntong and Gunung Cheroh Temples.
