MANJUNG: The Celebration of Unity Week 2023 at Manjung and Central Perak District Level at Kampung Dato Seri Kamaruddin Hall, took place with attendees from various races and age groups.
Foreign Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir was also present to officiate the recent programme.
During the officiating speech, Zambry emphasised the importance of stability and peace which has to be maintained by all of us.
“Taking lessons from abroad, instability and infighting will only cause us to plunge into war at the cost of our own people.
“I also remind everyone not to fall into the trap of certain groups that will try to get whatever they want at the expense of our country’s stability and unity,” he said.
About the programme, he said many activities were organised including fruit decoration, cooking competition, teh tarik competition, penalty shootout, colouring as well as many others.
“Thanks to everyone who attended, it’s fun to play football, make teh tarik and be with the attendees.
“Let’s do our best to maintain peace in our country and continue to respect one another,” he said
