IPOH:The heat of the National Day month celebrations began to be felt when nearly 10,000 people flooded the Bulatan Sultan Azlan Shah, Meru Raya here to jointly fly the Jalur Gemilang today.
The popular location among the Ipoh people started filling up as early as 7am to celebrate the Launch of the Bulan Kebangsaan and Kibar Jalur Gemilang 2023.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof was present on behalf of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to inaugurate the event.
Also present were the Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad and the Minister of Communications and Digital, Fahmi Fadzil.
The Deputy Prime Minister then released the Kembara Merdeka and Jalur Gemilang 2023 convoy which will tour all corners of the country in conjunction with celebrating National Day month.
This Jalur Gemilang convoy will be traveling more than 3,000 kilometers to all corners of the country.
In conjunction with the launch, the Karnival Kita MADANI was also held with various interesting activities such as Rahmah Sale, patriotic star competition, kuiz, artist performances and many more.
The National Day Celebration on 31 August will be held at Dataran Putrajaya while the Malaysia Day Celebration on 16 September will take place in Kuching, Sarawak.
