TELUK INTAN: A 61-year-old elderly man sustained burn injuries in a store fire incident at Kampung Bahagia, here last night.
Assistant Director of Operations of the Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, stated that they received a distress call regarding the incident at 8:12 pm.
Subsequently, personnel from the Teluk Intan Fire and Rescue Station, assisted by the Hutan Melintang Fire and Rescue Station, rushed to the scene.
“Upon arrival, the team found a Class C store measuring 10×30 square feet engulfed in flames.
“There was a 61-year-old male victim who suffered burns and injuries, and he was later transported to the hospital by ambulance,” he said on Monday.
He added that the fire suppression operation, led by Mohd Ismail Mohd Yunus, was successfully controlled by 8:40 pm.
