Yayasan Ipoh (YI) is organising a Children’s Fashion Show to be held on July 29, from 8.30 am to 12 pm. This event, which will be hosted by their Day Care Unit, will be held at the Yayasan Ipoh Convention Centre on Lorong 8, Bercham.
The event, which is safari themed, will also be officiated by Social Welfare Department (Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat or JKM) director, Nortipah Binti Majin. The show will involve the children from YI’s day care, as well as children who go to YI for therapy.
Its purpose is to give an opportunity for special needs children to integrate with society as well as to give their parents and caregivers a boost to their confidence level and morale. It’s also for the public to be made aware of various disabilities and to appreciate all the people behind caring and managing such children.
In addition to the Fashion Show, there will be goodie bags provided by well wishers, including Mydin, to be distributed along with prizes and certificates.
