TAPAH: Police are searching for a man who is believed to have entered and peeped in the women’s toilet at the Petronas Tapah Petrol Station here yesterday.
Perak Police Chief, Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri said the police received a police report from a 33-year-old woman who realized a man was peeping over the top of the toilet door while she was using the toilet
“A review of the CCTV footage found that a man in a suspicious state entered the women’s toilet and then left in a silver colored Toyota Avanza vehicle.
“A check of the registration number found it registered to a man with an address in the Pusing area in the state,” he said in a statement here today.
He said efforts to hunt down the suspect are being made.
“The case is being investigated under section 509 of the penal code which can be punished with imprisonment for a period of up to five years, or with a fine, or both.
