IPOH: A total of 136 complaints were received through the Hari Bertemu Pelanggan (HBP) Kerajaan Negeri Perak 7th edition (HBP) which took place today at the Stadium Indera Mulia here today.
Menteri Besar Perak, Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad said throughout the six series of the program, a total of 786 out of 833 complaints were resolved.
He said, the remaining 37 complaints are still in action and under observation and action by the relevant department.
“Complaints that cannot be resolved are still under observation and action by the departments involved. It is a complex complaint that takes more than 15 days to resolve.
“Such as requests for allocations from the federal government, requests for private land, repairing roads in the district and the problem of catching wild animals,” he said.
He said this to reporters at a press conference after attending the Program MESRA Hari Bertemu Pelanggan Kerajaan Negeri Perak 2023 7th edition, here today.
Saarani added that the organisation this time involved 69 customer service counters including the heads of state departments and agencies together with the Menteri Besar and the Exco line to greet customers.
“In addition, 10 exhibition booths, seven mobile counter services and 12 business products are also available for visitors,” he said.
In addition, he said, in conjunction with HBP this time, the state government together with the Perak Ministry of Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDN) also held a Rahmah Sales Program that lasted for two days until tomorrow.
He further explained that the program also has the cooperation of the Perak KPDN strategic partner and is a special program to help people who are less able to spend and help reduce their cost of living.
It offers basic necessities at discounted prices ranging from 10 to 30 percent cheaper than local market prices.
Since its introduction in March, until 31 July 2023, a total of 88 Rahmah Sales Programs have been implemented in all 24 Parliamentary constituencies and 59 state assembly constituencies across Perak and have benefited a total of 128,887 users.
