SERI ISKANDAR: More than 50 works of art from students of Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Perak Branch, Seri Iskandar campus were exhibited at the Final Diploma & Degree Exhibition Selection (SEPAKADD).
The work was produced by 45 College of Creative Arts Studies (KPSK) UiTM Perak.
They consist of diploma and master’s degree (honours) students in the fine arts, graphic arts, photography & digital imaging and ceramic design programs.
This exhibition is an annual program held at the end of each semester for KPSK students.
Perak State Deputy Secretary (Management), Dato’ Nor Sham Rahman was present to officiate the exhibition.
Also present, Rector of UiTM Perak Branch, Prof. Associate Dr. Nur Hisham Ibrahim and Central Perak District Officer, Mohd Zaki Abdul Rahman.
In his speech, Nor Sham said, more art graduates have been born from public and private higher education institutions in various fields, whether they focus on fine arts or design.
“These people have met the requirements in a career related to the national art industry covering various fields of discipline and scope of work.
“Therefore they need to prepare themselves to face the reality of working life out there.
“Equipping themselves with knowledge related to the field they are engaged in is very important to ensure they remain relevant,” he said.
