SLIM RIVER: A monitor machine (Defibrillator Machine) caught fire in Ward 10, Slim River Hospital, here early this morning.
Assistant Director of the Operations Division of the Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said, his party received a call about the incident at 3.20am before members from the Slim River Fire and Rescue Station rushed to the location.
“The fire involved a monitor machine in Ward 10 on the 5th floor.
“The fire was successfully extinguished by hospital staff using a fire extinguisher, it was found that it had burned by 10 percent,” he told reporters.
He said the chief of operations and firemen then carried out monitoring and verification at the location of the incident to ensure that there is no further risk of fire.
The operation ended at 4.20 a.m.
